TANNER Vietnam won The Saigon Times - Top 40 Award - Green Values 2010 in the Category of Energy Efficiency
TANNER Vietnam was honorably awarded The Saigon Times – Top 40 Awards – Green Values 2010 in the category: Energy Efficiency for the company’s outstanding environmental protection initiative.

The Saigon Times – Top 40 Award, an annual non-profit award initiated by The Saigon Times Group with the sponsorship of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the Ministry of Planning and Investment, recognizes and honors Foreign Invested Enterprises (FIE’s) for their practical contributions to the community and the sustainable development of Vietnam.

In response to the local and global movement on environment protection, TANNER Vietnam has successfully implemented an accredited environmental management plan in the workplace and was awarded the Green Office certificate by World Wide Fund for Nature, Vietnam (WWF Vietnam) in August 2010 as 1st German corporation and 8th overall corporation in Vietnam.

TANNER has taken effective and efficient measures to reduce the consumption of electricity by 18 percent, the consumption of paper by 78.2 percent and the consumption of water by 14.75 percent in 2010. The number of employees using sustainable transport to commute to work rose to 21 percent.

TANNER has also designed and built a rooftop garden at their office building in Ho Chi Minh City’s Phu Nhuan District as an initiative to reduce CO2 footprint, ease urban heat effects and contribute to a healthy urban environment. The rooftop garden is a further commitment of TANNER in saving energy and protecting the environment.

The Energy Efficiency Award from The Saigon Times Top 40 Award – Green Values 2010 is truly a big motivation for TANNER Vietnam Ltd. and its employees to continuously raise awareness far beyond the business community to the society in preserving the environment.
